The Digestive System Inquiry Lab is a hands-on activity that is differentiated for advanced, on-level, and modified middle school students.
Students will become a digestive system model and participate in the structure and function of the digestive system. Students will explore mechanical and chemical digestion, the structure and main functions of the digestive system, the concepts of enzymes, peristalsis, and why we need food.
The Digestive System Inquiry Lab includes a brief reading passage, comprehension checks, hands-on activities, reflection questions, and a CER conclusion.
