The Project, What Happens Next - Create a Succession Flipbook STEM Challenge uses the engineering design process for putting together a projection for the future of forests and wildlife in this area. First, you will need to research the process of succession and examples of other areas that have been damaged by wildfires. Then, you will communicate your findings in a flipbook that predicts the changes to come over the next 100 years.
Students will be using collaborative skills such as brainstorming with their peers and reflecting on their progress during the project.
At the end of the Project, What Happens Next - Create a Succession Flipbook, STEM challenge, students are given an opportunity to share their projects outside of the classroom.
